College Is A Big Adjustment - 844 Words

I haven’t seen you in a while since going to college, and I miss you. I’ve made a lot of friends here, and I hope you get a chance to meet them some time. They’ve supported me through my first year of college, which helped a lot. Going to college is a big adjustment, so it’s important to have people that support and help you through the adjustment. I have a lot of fun with them, especially on the weekends. We usually watch Netflix, or we go to an event on campus together. Sometimes it’s hard to not get carried away with the freedom that you have as a freshman, as well as forgetting that you can’t have fun all the time. Therefore it’s important to remind yourself of the reason why you went to college in the first place--to get a degree. Getting a degree in college takes a lot more than hard work. It involves taking care of your health, as well as avoiding the pitfalls of being a first-year student. One precaution to take is to avoid alc ohol. In the end, it isn’t healthy for you, and it creates a lot of headaches in the future. In fact, when I first moved into my dorm, I noticed how empty the dorms were that night. Many, if not most, of the freshmen had gone out to party.
